According to reports, hundreds of fans thronged to theater for a benefit show in the early morning. But the theater management refused to run the fan show. Irritated by this, angry fans pelted stones at the theater.
Situation turned tense and the police were dispatched to control the situation.

PGMET: NTRUHS bets big on tech for foolproof conduct

With a little over two weeks remaining for the Post-Graduate Medical Entrance Test (PGMET)-2015, officials of the NTR University of Health Sciences (NTRUHS) are taking all the necessary measures to ensure the conduct of the examination in a foolproof manner.

The responsibility of conducting the online test has been entrusted to a reputed agency. The university officials are, however, unwilling to disclose the name of the agency though. The agency will be given the question papers by the university a couple of hours before the commencement of the examination in encrypted form through a Virtual Private Network (VPN).

The agency will decrypt the question papers and send them to designated test centres half-an-hour in advance so as to avoid the scope for tampering of the paper. NTRUHS Vice-Chancellor T. Ravi Raju toldThe Hindu that the computer servers at the university and systems of the agency would be secured and audited thoroughly. This would ensure foolproof conduct of the examination.

“The university has gained from the experience of successfully conducting the entrance test for admission to super-specialty courses online in July last year. It will make PGMET-2015 also a smooth affair through online format which makes the job of fraudsters extremely hard. However, a concerted effort is being made to not give scope for slightest chance of manipulation,” Mr. Raju asserted.

NTRUHS Academic Director G. Krishna Murthy said there was ample scope for manipulation when PGMET was a written test till last year.

It was because of the human interface existing at that time at every stage right from the preparation of question papers, sending them for printing and then transporting them to the test centres much ahead of the examination.

This process used to take at least two months during which attempts could be made to gain illegal access to examination material. It may be recalled that PGMET-2014 dented the image of NTRUHS due to the question paper leakage that had nationwide ramifications.

The test had to be cancelled and re-examination conducted after an inquiry by the CID exposed major lapses which eventually led to the arrest of some 30 persons including students and middlemen.

ఈ చిత్రంలో సన్నీ లియోన్ గత చిత్రాలకు భిన్నంగా కనిపించబోతోంది. తొలిసారిగా ఆమె ఇందులో త్రిపాత్రాభినయం చేస్తోంది. ప్రేమ కథ నేపథ్యంలో సాగే ఈ సినిమా కథకు రివేంజ్ అంశాన్ని జోడించారు. 300 సంవత్సరాల కిందట జరిగిన కథతో ఈ సినిమా సాగుతుంది. ట్రైలర్ చూస్తేంటే సన్నీ లియోన్‌ను ఆరాధించే శృంగార ప్రియులను నిరాశ పరచకుండా సినిమా ఉంటుందని స్పష్టమవుతోంది.

‘లీలా' చిత్రానికి బాబీ ఖాన్ దర్శకత్వం వహించారు. సన్నీ లియోన్ హాట్ అండ్ సెక్సీ అవతార్ ఆకట్టుకోనుంది. ఈ చిత్రం డిఫరెంట్ కథాంశంతో తెరకెక్కుతున్నప్పటికీ సన్నీ లియోన్ అందాల విందుకు మాత్రం ఏమాత్రం కొదవలేకుండా జాగ్రత్త పడ్డాడు దర్శకుడు. ఈ చిత్రంలో హీట్ పుట్టించే పలు సీన్స్ ప్రేక్షకులను రంజింపచేయనున్నాయి. సన్నీ లియోన్ గత సినిమాల పెర్ఫార్మెన్సుతో పోలిస్తే ఈ చిత్రంలో ఆమె నటన ఆకట్టుకునే విధంగా ఉండనుంది. శృంగార భరితమైన పలు సన్నివేశాలను కేవలం ఆమె అభిమానులను దృష్టిలో ఉంచుకుని చిత్రీకరించారు.

Prayers offered for well-being of the nation and the State

The three-day annual festival of Gunadala Mary Matha got off to a grand start here on Monday, with devotees thronging the Mother's shrine in multitudes to be part of the special prayers offered on the occasion.

The first day’s festivities began with a Holy Mass performed by religious heads. Amid singing of carols by various choirs, prayers were offered for the well-being of the nation and the State as well.

The sprawling campus of Bishop Grassy High School, the main entrance point to reach the shrine atop the hill, witnessed frenzied activity.

The Gunadala carnival, which became a Diocesan fest in 1937, attracts people of all faiths. Besides Christians, a large number of people following other religions also head to this place, which is said to be wielding a healing power. Many devotees bring their infant babies to the fest to seek the Mother's blessings.

The winding pathway to the grotto bustled with families climbing up the hill with great devotion. Many come here to have their heads tonsured. They break coconuts at the shrine and join the queue heading to the grotto on the hillock to light candles.

Constant guidelines by the organisers on the public address system with regard to the dos and don’ts helped keep discipline in the vicinity. Barricading was done on the premises of the shrine, the steps leading to the grotto and the road outside the shrine. Security personnel posted at the venue to ensure smooth flow of devotees in and out of the shrine, kept a hawk’s vigil on the floating population. A few traders set up photo studios and fast food centres. Eluru Diocese Vicar General Thota Gabriel, Rector M. Chinnappa, Chancellor J. John Raju, Social Service Centre Executive Director Prasad Muvvala and others were present.

The audio of Rudramadevi movie was composed by legendary composer Maestro Ilayaraja.A formal inquiry has been launched against the leak and police were put in the job to find the pirates as soon as possible. Gunasekhar had plans of releasing the film’s audio later this month or early in March. Now, he would prepone the event.We are not sure if this is truth but the makers have pressed SOS button already.
