In separate cases, the officials of Anti-Corruption Bureau on Friday arrested two persons for demanding and accepting bribe.
According to ACB, Dr. A. Ravindra Kumar, Medical Superintendent of Government Hospital of Tenali in Guntur District was caught red-handed when he accepted Rs 1 lakh bribe from the complainant T Srinivasa Rao for signing and forwarding satisfactory certificate to the District Co-Ordinator of Hospitals, A.P. Vidya Vidhan Parishad (APVVP), and also for recommending extension of Diet contract for a period of one year.
The Accused Officer has been arrested and produced before the ACB Court in Vijayawada, Case is under investigation.
Similarly, the Village Revenue Officer of Jangedu in Warangal district was arrested on Friday when he demanded and accepted Rs 5,000 bribe to issue Pattadar Assignment Patta (B – Form) to daughter-in-law of the complainant. The accused officer will be produced before the Additional Special Judge for SPE & ACB Cases, Hyderabad.
Both the cases are under investigation. (INN
