The Rajya Sabha Member and former Union Minister for Tourism K Chiranjeevi has been asked to vacate government bungalow in Lutyens’ Delhi with immediate effect. It may be recalled here that he ignored the notices earlier served by the Urban Development Ministry. The officials have pasted a notice on the walls of the bungalow clearly stating that if he does not vacate it on his own’ he would be forcefully evicted’ from the premises for overstaying. Chiranjeevi was rising in bungalow No.17 at Akbar Road in New Delhi and was asked to vacate the official residence on June 27. Even after six months, he has not yet vacated the official residence. The ministry had sent several notices to him but failed no response. Directorate of Estates asked officials to forcefully evict if he declines to do.
