Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) Officials have arrested APSPDCL (Electricity) Divisional Engineer, Vissannapeta of Krishna district on the charges of taking bribe. The Engineer was caught red-handed by the ACB officials at City Central Bar & Restaurant, Bandar Road, Vijayawada late last night while accepting the bribe amount of Rs 20,000 from the complainant for providing agriculture electricity connection, an ACB statement said here today. Both the hand fingers of the accused officer yielded positive result in chemical test. The bribe amount of Rs 20,000 was recovered from the left side shirt pocket of the accused officer. The accused officer was arrested and sent to remand.
