The Andhra Pradesh Government has decided to construct Shilaparamams at Srikakulam, Viziangaram and Kurnool at a cost of Rs.1 crore.

Andhra Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation will execute the works in consultation with the Archaeology and Museums Department will be developed under the 13th Finance Commission grants.
The District Collectors of Viziangaram and Kurnool have already been directed to identify suitable lands spanning over 5 to 10 acres close to the district headquarters for establishment of these Shilaparamams. These are already in existence in Visakhapatnam, Tirupati, Kadapa, Pullivendula and Puttaparti.
