12 more accused identified in Vijayawada triple murder case

VIJAYAWADA: Police found the involvement of 12 more people in the Gannavaram triple murder case. Cops have already identified Bhutam Govindu and Bhutam Srinivasa Rao as the main accused in the case and arrested seven others including four sharp shooters and three conspirators. 

While Govindu, who resides in London, reportedly extended financial support, Srinivas hired the killers and supervised the operation to eliminate the three victims of Pinakadimi village in West Godavari district. The Bhutam brothers decided to kill the trio in retaliation to the murder of their brother and hotelier Durga Rao. 

Police have launched a manhunt for all the 14 accused who are eluding, including the two prime accused in the case. Sirigiri Chinna alias Siva, Puranam Ganesh, Turapati Peddababu, Oora Gopi, Sirigiri Goparaju, Pastam Maraiah, Bhutam Balaji, Palapati Siva, Pastam Mahesh and Chejerla Venkatesh allegedly assisted the accused in the killing. 

Meanwhile, a special investigation team headed by east zone ACP KM Maheswara Raju has been formed to nab all the offenders. One inspector and four SIs are part of the SIT. City police commissioner AB Venkateswara Rao said a request has been sent to the government to set up a fast track court to hear the case.
