The Reserve Bank of India reportedly decided to establish its regional office for Andhra Pradesh at Vijayawada.
It is reportedly agreed by the RBI Governor Raghuram Rajan to have agreed to this by the AP Finance Minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu. In an interaction with the RBI Governor on Wednesday, he placed the request before the RBI Governor which was agreed upon. The existing RBI Regional Office at Hyderabad had gone to Telangana State following bifurcation of the State.
