At a press conference here on Monday, Vijayawada commissioner of Police AB Venkateswara Rao explained how police were able to nab the persons who attempted to murder and how the cops foiled their attempt.
Kondaveeti Chakravarthi aka Chakri (23) decided to eliminate his cousin Putti Srinu of Peda Parimi village of Guntur district, over property disputes. He approached Inampudi Nageshwara Rao, father of his friend I Srikanth. Thereafter Chakri and Srikanth approached Sheik Khazavali aka Munna.
Contacted, Munna introduced Chakri and Srikanth to Murari Kumar Singh, an old criminal from Bihar but staying at Ajith Singh Nagar.
Chakri, Srikanth and Munna entered into an agreement with Murari Kumar Singh to kill Putti Srinu.
Chakri gave Rs 20,000 to Murari Kumar Singh with which Murari Singh bought a pistol and 10 bullets from Bihar. All the four enquired about Putti Srinu’s movements in Peda Parimi village.
After complete planning, when the four were going to Peda Parimi village from New Rajarajeshwaripet on Monday with pistol and bullets to execute their plan, the police took them into custody.
All the four schemers and the pistol and bullets seized from them were presented at the press conference.
ATM thief arrested
Police also arrested Kora Benna Vidyasagar (24) who draws money from other peoples’ ATM accounts by cheating them or diverting their attention. B Vidyasagar, a resident of Kethanakonda village in Ibrahimpatnam mandal and is involved in 13 cases in the limits of Bhavanipuram, Satyanarayanpuram, Krishnalanka, Machavarm, Patamata, among others. CCS police arrested Vidyasagar at the City Terminal Bus Stop on Monday.
